Submitting Samples & Shipping Instructions
Fill out the MoldDNA™ Analysis Request Form, Sign & Date. After sampling has been completed, immediately place the dust collection device back in the zip lock bag, and then place both the Zip lock bag and the MoldDNA™ Analysis Request Form into the pre-paid box provided. 2nd sample – Bed Room
For the bedroom, select the most frequently used bedroom. Using the same Adhesive measuring tape, Mark off a 3’ x 6’ rectangular sampling area on a carpeted floor immediately against the side of the bed where the resident is most likely to get in and out of the bed. Place the long side of the rectangle against the long side of the bed. If the area cannot accommodate the recommended sampling area, adjust the dimensions accordingly. Use the brush end of the dust sampler to collect your sample. Vigorously drag the “dust collector” back and forth over the carpet/sofa to collect dust and spores! Do not exceed the 5-minute sampling period)

Sampling Instructions
For general dust sampling, Midwest Aerobiology labs recommends taking a living room and bedroom sample as a composite using the same dust collection device.
Sampling Locations
1st Sample – Common Living Area (Family Room, or Living Room Finished Basement etc.)
2nd Sample – Most frequently used bedroom
Sampling Tips:

Try not to destroy the adhesive measuring tape while performing the 1st sample. Remember, the same adhesive measuring tape must be also used for the 2nd sample.

Vigorously drag dust collection device back and forth over the carpet/sofa to collect dust and spores!

Do not exceed the 5-minute sampling period. (Utilize a watch or timer)
Areas other than the living room, family room, or bedrooms may also be sampled. If you choose to sample other areas, a separate MoldDNA™ collector should be used for each area. Please call toll-free 888-825-9327, if you have any questions.
NOTE: The following personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn during the sampling process: N-95 respirator and Nitrile gloves (Enclosed)

Using the Adhesive measuring tape supplied, Mark off a 3’ x 6’ rectangular sampling area on a carpeted floor immediately against the sofa. Place the long side of the rectangle against the long side of the sofa. (In the absence of a carpeted floor, select a sofa or a commonly used chair) use the brush end of the dust sampler to collect your sample. Vigorously drag the “dust collector” back and forth over the carpet/sofa to collect dust and spores! (Do not exceed the 5-minute sampling period)
